Diction-proficiency (to be satisfied before admission to doctoral
candidacy):
proficiency in two foreign languages (French, German, Italian) not
passed
during the admission process.
Foreign-language
requirement (to be satisfied before the Comprehensive
Examination can be scheduled): reading knowledge of French, German,
or Italian (the chosen language must differ from the one used to
satisfy the foreign-language requirement for the masters degree
in
choral conducting).
Ensemble
requirement: Minimum of two semesters in an appropriate choral
ensemble (MUSC 734)
