Undergraduate Financial Aid

SCHOLARSHIPS
Music Scholarships are available for undergraduate students who exhibit promising abilities. These scholarships range from $200 a year to full tuition renewable over four years.  Further information regarding Undergraduate Scholarships in Music.

LOANS
Loans (both need based and non-need based) are available each semester to students making satisfactory academic progress. For further information contact the Office of Student Financial Aid and Scholarships, 1714 College St., Columbia, SC 29208 (803/777-8134; www.sc.edu/financialaid/; or email: uscaid@sc.edu).

PART-TIME WORK
The federal College Work-Study Program is available to students who demonstrate financial need and who desire employment to meet their educational expenses. Employment as a "student assistant" under this program is recompensed at an hourly wage and is not to be confused with stipendiary graduate assistantships described above. Also available is off-campus, part-time employment. For further information contact the Office of Student Financial Aid and Scholarships (see under "Loans").

GRADUATE FELLOWSHIPS
At the present time the School of Music offers only one graduate fellowship: The Carroll Taussig Fellowship in Opera. Interested applicants should contact the Music Graduate Director by March 1.
