The University of South Carolina School of Music is located adjacent to the Koger Center for the Arts at 813 Assembly Street in downtown Columbia, SC. Housed in a new state-of-the-art music center, the School of Music is home to 46 full-time faculty and approximately 500 undergraduate and graduate students.

  • From I-20 East: Follow I-20 to I-26/126. Take I-126 to Route 76 (Downtown Columbia Exit). Turn Right onto Assembly Street. Distance to the School of Music and the Koger Center for the Arts is approximately two miles.
  • From I-20 West: Follow I-20 West to Route 277. Follow Route 277 through Columbia to the Downtown area. Turn Right onto Gervais Street. Continue for approximately four blocks and turn Left onto Assembly Street. Distance to the School of Music and the Koger Center for the Arts is approximately two blocks.
  • From I-26 (Either Direction): Follow I-26 to 126. Take I-126 to Route 76 (Downtown Columbia Exit). Turn Right onto Assembly Street. Distance to the School of Music and the Koger Center for the Arts is approximately two miles.
  • From I-77 South: Follow I-77 South to Route 277. Follow Route 277 through Columbia to the Downtown area. Turn Right onto Gervais Street. Continue for four blocks and turn Left onto Assembly Street. Distance to the School of Music and the Koger Center for the Arts is approximately two blocks.
  • From Route 302: Follow Route 302 which becomes Route 21/176/321. Cross the Congaree River Bridge and turn Left onto Assembly Street. The School of Music and Koger Center for the Arts are on the Left.
  • From Route 378/76 West: Follow Route 76 (Garners Ferry Road). Follow Route 76 as it branches to the Right (Millwood Avenue). Turn Left onto Gervais Street. Turn Left onto Assembly Street. Distance to the School of Music and the Koger Center for the Arts is approximately two blocks.
  • From Columbia Metro Airport: Follow Route 21/176/321 into Columbia. Cross the Congaree River Bridge and turn Left onto Assembly Street. The School of Music and Koger Center for the Arts are on the Left.
