Music Theory for Adults - I and II
This 10-week course will cover the different clefs and notation, major and minor scales and thier key signatures, intervals (and why that matters!) basic triads and seventh chords. Two classes will be offered: Beginning Music Theory for Adults I and Music Theory for Adults II. Both classes will be scheduled according to student and teacher availability. Classes will begin the week of February 6- April 23, and will be held in the School of Music. Students will be contacted by the instructor about class scheduling.

Music Essentials for Teens
This 10-week course is designed for teens that my already be studying an instrument, buthaven't yet had a chance to study the fudnamental elements that make up this music. The course will cover the different clefs and notation, intervals, major and minor scales and their key signatures and basic triads and seventh chords. Classes will be scheduled according to student and teacher availability. Classes will begin the week of February 6 - April 23 and will be held in the School of Music. Students will be contacted by the instructor about class scheduling.

Saturday Conservatory
We will be offering a 6-week course on Saturdays, combining chamber music and music theory instruction. Students will particpate in chamber music ensembles with their peers. Students are encouraged to bring pre-formed groups, but will be matched with other students of similar age and development if registering individually. If students lack a player to fill out a desired combination, ensembles will be supplemented with one of our USC student Musc Mentors; university music majors with chambet music experience. All groups will receive coaching sessions by USC Graduate Students and have opportunities to perform in master classes with Guest Artist Facult. At least one performance will be arranged for each ensemble.Performance date and time: TBA Students will also learn some essential music theory to improve their overall understanding of the fundamentals of music.

The program is open to Middle and High School students with at least 3 years of study; String, Woodwind and Brass students are welcome. Teacher recommendation is required.
