General Information: The 12-lesson semester is designed for
the student as young as age 6 or the older student who may be adding a new
hobby during their retirement. Beginner to Advanced-level
students are welcome to enroll in private lessons. Lessons are scheduled
at a time convenient to the student and teacher's schedule.
Faculty:
The Piano Division faculty are
comprised of passionate USC undergraduate and graduate students who are studying piano pedagogy and/or have prior teaching experience. Alena Pagal, Visiting Guest Lecturer in Piano Pedagogy, serves as the Piano
Division mentor and supervisor to each of these teachers.
Performance Opportunities: The Piano Division additionally
provides opportunities for students to participate in a masterclass,
scheduled during the Spring semester, and a Recital, held at the end of each semester. Students will have the pleasure of performing in the beautiful
USC School of Music Recital Hall on a Steinway grand piano.
