TITLE DESCRIPTION

06.11.00 Medium Jazz waltz with some interesting twists and turns.

08.03.01 Fast Jazz Waltz in Dm. Some traditional harmonic changes.

10.10.01 Medium to up swing with some challenging harmonic changes.

11/11 Medium swing tune in C minor. Not your typical blues head. Clusters over bass line.

4-5-6-7 Up tempo swing. Melody based on cell of four eighth note followed by five, six then seven. Modal chords.

Drifting Clouds Pretty Waltz with challenging harmonic changes.

The Eyes Have It Fast Swing over traditional harmonic changes. The melody based on rhythmically displaced two note idea.

Freehand Contemporary Swing tune in the style of a freehand drawing. Some very dissonant chords.

Heads Up Fast Latin then swing. Latin melody is busy based on mode of Kumoi pentatonic (1-b2-4-5-7), swing smoothes out.

High and Outside Fast in and out C minor blues head with a nod to Stravinsky.

Lady's Choice More traditional jazz waltz with somewhat conventional changes.

Old Shoes Medium Swing over non-traditional harmonic progression.

Ouzel Falls Medium jazz waltz over colorful changes with extended form. Ouzel is a bird. Ouzel Falls is a waterfall named for a bird.

Red Line Medium to fast swing over contemporary harmonic progression.
