We had a succesful SC-IAJE Clinic at USC on December 8, 2007. We had 6 saxophone players, 4 trombonist, 3 trumpeters, two bass players, (and a partridge in a pear tree). Clinicians Craig Butterfield, Kevin Jones, Bert Ligon, and Mark Yost worked with the students. We worked on the All-State Jazz etude, improvisation concepts, some ensemble playing, and then performed a short concert. We hope that next year we have 3 times the attendance. Plan now. The tenatative date will be December 6, 2008.
