USC Campus Orchestra
The USC Campus Orchestra was created in the fall of 2008 with
approximately twenty members. It has grown to perform with fifty
musicians regularly, and presents two concerts annually. Mr. Neil Casey,
the ensemble's Music Director created this orchestra to fill a need for
the University's many string players who do not have time to play in the
much more intense USC Symphony Orchestra.
Meeting once per week: Wednesdays, 7:00 p.m. in the School of Music, room
016.
The Campus Orchestra is made of up of a mixture of music majors, music
minors and non-majors. It is meant to provide an artistic outlet for the
many non-majors on our campus that would like to continue playing, while
also giving a musically rewarding experience for the minors and majors in
the ensemble. It also provides an opportunity for music education majors
to potentially play a secondary instrument.
OUR NEXT CONCERT: MONDAY, APRIL 23, 2012
Shandon Presbyterian Church, 7:30 p.m.
