USC Symphony Orchestra's Exciting 2007-2008 Season
The USC Symphony Orchestra has an exciting schedule lined up for the 2007-2008 season. It is a six-concert series that will challenge the 100+ young student musicians who eagerly accept the opportunity to broaden their repertoire and to collaborate with professional artists. Beethoven's Ninth

USC Symphony Orchestra (conducted by Maestro Donald Portnoy) will perform Beethoven’s grand Symphony No. 9 with USC Choirs (directed by Dr. Larry Wyatt) featuring guest vocal soloists Tonya Currier, soprano; Jennifer Luiken, mezzo-soprano; Jaeyoon Kim, tenor; Jacob Will, baritone.
This concert will also include performances by Winners of the USC Young Artist Competition: Leif Petersen, violin; Alex Manley, trombone; Will Casada, clarinet.
A pre-concert chat will be held in the Large Rehearsal Room of the Koger Center at 6:45pm with Professor Peter Hoyt, Assistant Professor of Music History. The chat will touch on information related to the pieces, artists, or composers being performed that evening.
You may purchase your advanced tickets in person at the Carolina Coliseum Box Office (701 Assembly St., Columbia, SC 29201) or call the charge line number to order by phone at (803) 251-2222 (both methods are available Mon.-Fri., 9am-5pm) or visit online to purchase single tickets at any time at http://www.capitoltickets.com (select Koger Center events). Tickets are also available for sale in the Koger Center lobby starting one hour prior to the performance at 6:30pm.
Single ticket prices are as follows:
General Public $25, Senior Citizens/USC Faculty & Staff $20, and Students $8
Valet parking is a convenient service to our patrons that will be available for $5. This service is operated by the professional staff of Southern Valet.
