UNDERGRADUATE AUDITIONS
Undergraduate organ audition repertory should consist of one contrapuntal work by Bach or Buxtehude, a work from the nineteenth century, and, if possible, a piece from the twentieth century (required of applicants for the Hawes Scholarship). Memorization is not required.
Applicants for the Hawes Scholarship in Organ Performance should contact Dr. William H. Bates directly.
Please note that the application date for the Hawes Scholarship has been changed from the previously announced March 1 to March 15.

GRADUATE AUDITIONS
One major work of Bach, one work from the nineteenth century, and one by a composer born after 1910. For a master’s applicant, the level of literature should be that expected of a senior undergraduate organ performance major. Similarly, an applicant for the DMA should choose literature that would be performed on a master’s recital.
