Shiraz Trio

The Shiraz Trio performs Russell Peck's The Glory and the Grandeur with the USC Symphony Orchestra on Tuesday, October 20 at 7:30 pm in the Koger Center for the Arts!

Shiraz Trio

The Shiraz Trio consists of Scott Herring (University of South Carolina School of Music), Joseph Krygier (Ohio State University School of Music/Department of Dance) and Susan Powell (Ohio State University School of Music). This ensemble is dedicated to performing contemporary works for percussion trio, as well as music created by members of the group. The group has been featured throughout the country at music festivals and several Percussive Arts Society Days of Percussion. Their chamber music performances blend aspects of traditional percussion ensemble, world music, improvisation and multimedia, creating an exciting sonic and visual experience.

Shiraz Cymbals

The Shiraz Trio gives frequent performances at the USC School of Music, with Susan Powell and Joseph Krygier visiting frequetly to work with USC Percussion students.
