The USC Percussion Ensemble consists of 12-15 percussion students
who perform a wide variety of music written expressly for percussion.
This groups presents several concerts each year, including a Fall
and Spring Semester concert, along with a performance at the annual
Band Clinic. Selections range from chamber works for three to four
performers to works using large forces of personell and instruments.
Recently the USC Percussion Ensemble was a featured performing ensemble
at the South Carolina Day of Percussion and the USC Gift of Music
Concert. This ensemble frequently has the opporunity to perform
with visiting guest artists hosted by the Percussion Program. In
the Spring of 2003, Dr. John Parks performed with the USC Percussion
Ensemble, and most recently, Michael Burrritt was our featured guest.
If you are interested in future Percussion Ensemble performances,
please check the upcoming events page, or contact Dr. Scott Herring.
