Welcome
Thank you for stopping
by the USC Percussion website, where you will find information
on all percussion events at USC. The percussion program at
USC is multi-faceted and indeed all percussionists will find
something to spark their interests. The performance opportunities
for students include the 280 member Carolina
Marching Band, 3 Concert Bands, the USC Symphony Orchestra,
Southern Exposure New Music Ensemble, Percussion
Ensemble and the Palmetto
Pans Steel Band. We offer several degree options for music
majors and encourage non-music majors to participate in our
ensembles. Percussion students also have a wealth of learning
opportunities including private lessons, studio classes and
clinic/masterclasses with guest artists. Currently the percussion
studio is large enough to fill all major ensembles and small
enough to ensure that each student receives one-on-one attention.
The percussion facilities at USC are first-rate, and the inventory
of percussion instruments expands frequently.
I hope you will take the time to browse through
the percussion website to see what an exciting time it is
for percussion at USC. Please visit this site periodically
to access current information and upcoming events. You can
also check out USC Percussion on our MYSPACE page at myspace.com/uscpercussion.
