FREE TUTORING
The USC Student Success Center now offers free tutoring for all freshman and sophomore level theory and aural skills classes. For more information, talk with your instructor or visit the SSC Peer Tutoring Program Web site.

MUSC THEORY AT USC

USC offers a B.M. degree with an emphasis in Music Theory as well as a variety of rigorous and exciting courses designed to serve the needs of our undergraduate and graduate degrees in music composition, conducting, education, history, and performance. Students interested in pursuing the B.M. Music Theory degree should contact Dr. Jenkins. All other inquiries should be directed to the coordinator of music theory Dr. Bain.

Students profit from frequent visits by guests theorists, musicologists and composers. Past guests have included Guy Capuzzo, Tim Carter, Tomoko Deguchi, Daniel Harrison, Stephen Laitz, Patrick McCreless, Paul Miller, Severine Neff, Deborah Rifkin, Philip Ruprecht, Peter Silberman and J. Kent Williams. In addition, the Composition Program and award-winning Southern Exposure New Music Series bring world-class composers and performers to campus each year.
