Southern Exposure Series presents Wu Man, solo pipa
The pipa is a 200 year-old traditional Chinese instrument, much like a lute. Virtuoso Wu Man is the world's best-known player of this instrument and has twice been nominated for Grammy awards. She is a member of the Silk Road ensemble and will be performing with the South Carolina Philharmonic while in Columbia.

The Southern Exposure New Music Series, under the direction of John Fitz Rogers, regularly performs a variety of recent music, as well as classic compositions from the past century. Students at USC profit from frequent visits and residencies associated with this concert series. These concerts are standing room only and early arrival is suggested for seating. While the concerts are free and open to the public, for a donation of $75 or more, patrons may reserve one seat for the entire 2009/2010 Southern Exposure Season.
