Time Base
The Video Sync generator is the time base (speed) master. It is
hard wired to the video sync inputs of the Digital Time Piece and
the VTR. The DTP creates the video-referenced word clock which you
will patch to the DM-4800 console. The Word Clock out of the DM-4800
is normalled to the Digidesign 192 I/O (ProTools).
Address Base
The Digital Time Piece is address base (location) master. It drags
the VTR around via 9-pin remote control. ProTools chases MIDI Time
Code (MTC) by being put online.
