Violin

I started my musical journey when I was in the first grade at the age of 6.  I began taking piano lessons and got involved in an afterschool string program at Mead Hall Episcopal School under the direction of Mrs. Joanne Stanford.  When I got ready to go to middle school, I started taking private lessons for violin from Mrs. Stanford and became a member of the Suzuki Strings of Augusta. During high school, I was one of the founding core members and served as the concertmaster for the Aiken Regional Chamber Orchestra.  I was also concertmaster for the Suzuki Strings of Augusta Senior Ensemble during my senior year.  After graduating with honors from Aiken High School, I attended the University of South Carolina School of Music in Columbia, SC.

During my time at USC, I studied violin under Dr. William Terwilliger and Mr. Ryan Kho.   I also performed with small chamber ensembles, Jazz Strings, USC Chamber Orchestra, and The USC Symphony Orchestra.   For my junior and senior years, I gave two full recitals and will receive a performance certificate for my achievements and hard work.  For more information on my performing and ensemble careers, please visit the Performing link from the home page.
